Imagine jumbo jets filled to capacity with preschool children. Now think of one of these jets full of children crashing every 21 minutes around the clock, every day of the year. That would be about 10.5 million children dying tragically each year. What caring person wouldn’t want to help stop such a devastating loss of precious human life?
That loss of is actually happening, less dramatically, as one by one in remote villages and slums over 10.5 million children die each year of easily curable or preventable diseases such as measles, whooping cough, diphtheria, neonatal tetanus, and diarrhea. This year over 17 million children will die from malnutrition; over 270 million have no access to health services; over 400 million have no access to safe water; 640 million live without adequate shelter; over 100 million children live on the streets, 115 million never go to school. Multiplied millions have never even heard the name of Jesus and face a Christless eternity.
GMF Children's International Ministry seeks to improve the lives of children around the world, by partnering with and enabling individuals churches, and businesses to use their resources to help move children toward greater levels of health, hope, and happiness.
