"Give a Child a Chance" Certified 5K and Family Fun Run/Walk

HEALTH, HOPE, and HAPPINESS
for impoverished children

November 22, 2008
Shelby Farms
Cordova, TN

The 5K will benefit GMF Children around the world. For 20 years, our child sponsorship program has made a difference in the lives of thousands of orphaned, abandoned, and impoverished children. These children are the poorest of the poor. Millions die each year from malnutrition and easily curable dieases. So many die will die this year that it will be the equivalent of a jumbo jet filled to capacity with children crashing every 21 minutes aound the clock, every day of the year.

ChampionChip Scoring

The 2008 "Give a Child a Chance 5k will use ChampionChip timing technology. To get an official racetime and be included in the results, participants MUST wear the chip. The ChampionChip technology allows for precision and timing accuracy. Race Chip pick up is on race day only, from 8:30-9:30 a.m.

Return chips at finish line chute
.
NOTE: There will be a $35 fee for any rental chip not returned.

Timing

The race will be timed by the Best Times CCT official sports timing organization.
